The first tissue culture lab in India was set up by Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited (Agro Division) in collaboration with Holland (Netherland) in the year 1992 which was 100 % EOU.

Today, CADAgro Division is Asia's most reputed and preferred company when it comes to production and supply of quality bio-formulations viz., Mycorrhiza (Josh-technology licensed from TERI-DBT), Aspergillus Niger (AN-27) (Kalisena – technology licensed from IARI) & Trichoderma viride (CADTricho). Off-late CADAgro Agro has strengthened its Bio products portfolio by initiating and marketing of Rhizobium, Azotobacter, Azospirillum, PSB in both liquid and powder form. CADAgro Biofertilizer Division also specializes in production of commonly used liquid and granular growth promoter like Gelatin derived Amino Acid (AmiCAD Liq. and Granules), Humic Acid (CADGrow Liq. And Powder), Brassinolide based multi-active growth promoter (CADMore), ionic and non-ionic surfactant (CADStick), botanically derived potash supplement 14 % (CAD-O-K), etc.

CADAgro also has to its credit one of the well-equipped and state of art Tissue Culture lab engaged in production and marketing of tissue culture raised plants. CADAgro has a separate manufacturing unit in Biotech Park, Lucknow for manufacturing of Bio Pesticides and Bio- fermented products.

CADAgro has already set up an extensive Agro distribution channel in 14 states and plans to expand to other states in near future. The long-term vision is to participate in complete value chain of Agro Product. In domestic tissue-culture and bio-products business, our approach with the farmers group, co-operatives and societies have been very effective and efficient, in addition to the traditional distributors and retailer relationship. The high technology inputs supplied by CADAgro will certainly reduce the risk of failure and improve the yield level in uncertain climatic conditions.
