Method of Application

RhizoCAD is a formulation of Gram-negative soil bacteria (Rhizobium spp.), has the ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen in symbiotic association with legumes. Method of Application

RhizoCAD can be used for leguminous crops.

General Information

Aspergillus niger was isolated from rhizosphere of muskmelon, which were found to be healthy inspite of other fruits becoming spoiled due to fungal infection. Mode of Action

As Bio-fungicide: It produces compounds, which are antifungal, and acts against major harmful soil borne pathogens belonging to genus Pythium, Macrophomina, Sclerotinia, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, etc and many other soil borne pathogenic fungi.

As Biofertilizer: Phosphate is present in complex form in soil as tricalcium phosphate or dicalcium phosphate. A.niger produces acid which breaks the complex and thus Solubilizes phosphate. Thus, it acts as bio fertilizer. Further, it produces two growth-promoting compounds of Gamma-lactone and Butanolide group that enhance seed germination (%) and are also responsible for improving shoot growth and root elongation. It also produces enzymes that augment the self defense mechanism of the plants.

Method of Application and Target Crops

• Kalisena FS for seed dressing : Sprinkle water on seeds to make them moist. Treat with Kalisena FS seed by mixing it uniformly. Seeds are sown immediately within 4-5 hrs of treatment. Eg. Paddy, Maize, Bajra, Cotton, Chillies, Tomato, Castor, etc.
• Kalisena FS for transplantation crops like chilly, brinjal, tomato, etc and for tissue culture raised hardened plants : Roots of transplants and cuttings are to be dipped in Kalisena FS suspension prepared by mixing 8g of Kalisena FS in 1 litres of water and then transfer this treated plants to fields.
• Kalisena SA for field crops : 1 kg of Kalisena SA is mixed with 1000 kg of manure, FYM, pressmud, cocopeat, etc. Broadcast 1000 kg of this amended manure in (1 acre) acre and mix in soil by shallow tillage. Light irrigation is recommended after application if soil moisture is less in field. Kalisena SA can also be applied directly if one is not interested in mixing it with manure and other soil inputs.
• Kalisena SA for Horticultural crops (Banana, Grape, Coconut, Cardamom, Black pepper etc.) & Forest plant like (Teak, Sandalwood tree etc.) : For newly transplanting or planting crops, add 500 to 750 gm of Kalisena SA amended organic manure in pits before planting.
