CADILA Pharmaceuticals Limited started in 1952 as a true Life Sciences company has over six decades emerged as one of the largest privately held Pharmaceutical Company in India. Till 2018, CADILA Agro Division was a part of CADILA Pharmaceuticals Limited under the IRM Division. From 2019, IRM is a separate entity and CADAgro is a part of it.

The year 1992, think tank at CADAgro recognized the need for transformation in Indian Horticulture as Green Revolution was only touching upon field crops / cereals. CADAGRO started Tissue Culture Division to supply quality planting material to Indian farmers. CADAgro has to its reputation one of the first companies in India to bring the tissue culture technology which today has benefited billions of farmers by helping them yield double in many crops like Banana, Potato, Pomegranate, Lemon etc. Tissue Culture division at CADAgro today has an image of having most diverse commercial portfolio of Horticultural crops that can be raised through Tissue Culture.
